In this unit study, we look at wildfires as a natural ecological process. This force of nature has shaped forests, grasslands, and the plants and animals within them for thousands of years.
Prompts are tiered for two age groups. K-2 and 3-5. Choose the tier that fits your learner best, or work through both of them together, with older children helping to extend their younger siblings’ narrations.
This is a science and nature study and not a fire safety or emergency preparedness resource.
